In the early presidential elections in Iran, no candidate could get 50% of the votes, after which it has been decided to hold a re-voting.

According to the Arab media, the Iranian Ministry of Interior has confirmed that due to the failure of any candidate to receive a majority (50 percent of the vote) in the presidential elections, presidential elections will be held again on July 5. And the competition will be held in Saeed Jalili.

According to the report, in the results of yesterday's elections, Masoud Pazishkian came first with about 1.4 million votes, while his strong rival Saeed Jalili got about 9.5 million votes.

In the presidential election of Iran, Mohammad Baqir is in the third place with 3.4 million votes, while Mustafapour Mohammadi could only get a little more than 2 million votes.

According to the Iranian Election Commission, the voter turnout in the June 28 presidential election was 40 percent, while the turnout in the 2021 election was 48 percent. 24.5 million votes were counted in the presidential election.

There was a competition between Saeed Jalili, Mohammad Baqir, Masoud Pazishkian and Mustafapour Mohammadi for the Iranian presidency, but after not being able to get more than 50% of the votes, Iran will now vote again in the second phase of the presidential election on July 5.

It should be noted that early elections were held in Iran due to the death of former Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi in a helicopter accident.

President Ibrahim Raisi, the foreign minister and Ayatollah Khamenei's spokesman, was killed in a helicopter crash last month.
